Ecolabeling

A variety of ecolabeling programs have been developed to promote environmental sustainability within various product and service categories. Eco-labeling programs are especially prevalent in the European Union (EU). While adoption of EU style ecolabels has been limited in North American markets, North American pulp and paper producers are competing and often selling products in foreign markets and may be faced with meeting eco-label standards in order to effectively compete in these markets. NCASI’s research in this focus area is oriented towards providing our Member Companies with the tools and analytics that will enable accurate, objective reporting to these programs.
