Benchmarking

One of NCASI’s important contributions to our Member Companies is the collection, analysis, and documentation of the North American pulp and paper industry’s environmental and energy performance, in the context of each of our Member Company operations. Within NCASI’s benchmarking program, mill-specific databases of a range of important environmental and energy benchmarking metrics are maintained and updated on a continual basis. NCASI’s mill-specific environmental and energy datasets are used in NCASI LCAs, sector wide calculations, and development of comments to stakeholder consultation processes, with the goal of delivering credible and comprehensive information about the North American pulp and paper industry to stakeholders.
