In 1998, NCASI began its Long-Term Receiving Water Study (LTRWS), a 10- to 20-year project involving four different U.S. receiving waters: Codorus Creek, Pennsylvania; the Leaf River, Mississippi; and the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers in Oregon.
