Technical Bulletin No. 0915: Evaluation of Models for Predicting Effluent Temperatures at Pulp and Paper Industry Wastewater Treatment Plants

The goal of this study was to review available models for predicting effluent temperatures from wastewater treatment plants and assess their applicability to pulp and paper industry aerated stabilization basins (ASBs). A literature search identified several candidate models, and the two most promising were selected for evaluation. Meteorological and process data from two kraft pulp mills were obtained.
