Environmental models, organized by media type, are cataloged in the form of guidance to assist users to better select models from the many available choices. An overview of each group of models provides information on the function and capabilities of the models and the basic differences between models. The descriptions of individual models are organized in a Microsoft Access database and include a delineation of their respective strengths and weaknesses, complexity, dimensionality, temporality, system requirements, documentation, previous applications, training options, user prerequisites, and availability.
