Technical Bulletin No. 0865: An Evaluation of Control Efficiency at Different Combustion Chamber Temperatures for Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers Installed on Panel Plant Wood Furni

This report contains test results from five regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTOs) controlling emissions from dryers in the wood panel industry. The RTOs were tested at their inlets and outlets for five compounds or classes of compounds: nitrogen oxides (NOx), total hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, and methanol. Each RTO was tested over a range of combustion chamber temperatures.
