Technical Bulletin No. 0838: A Review of Forest Habitat Relationships of the Indiana Bat
This report provides an extensive review of published literature related to the forest habitat relationships of the Indiana bat (Myotis sodalis). Specifically, we examined information in 99 publications related to hibernacula selection; spring, summer, and fall roost tree use; summer foraging habitat use; and foraging habitat used during the fall swarm. We summarize and critically review information in the manuscripts in three sections (hibernacula, roosting, and foraging), explain issues discussed and techniques used, and identify research needs.
