Technical Bulletin No. 0792: Adsorption Isotherms for Divalent Metal Ions on Brown Stock Wood Pulp

Reducing discharges of process chemicals and waste materials through recycling and recovery can lead to the accumulation of non-process elements (NPEs) such as metals in pulp manufacturing processes. Understanding how metals behave in these systems would enable process engineers to predict the fate of such materials when evaluating process closure alternatives. The interactions between metal ions and pulp are not well known.
