Technical Bulletin No. 0769: Volatile Organic Compound Emissions from Wood Products Manufacturing Facilities – Part II Engineered Wood Products

An impinger/canister method and EPA Method 25A were used to test VOC and volatile organic HAP emissions from two engineered wood products mills. Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) presses were tested at both of these mills and a wood I-joist assembly line was tested at one of the mills. This study found that the HAP emissions from these sources consisted primarily of methanol.
