Technical Bulletin No. 0757: A Synopsis of Recent Studies on the Impacts of Pulping Effluents in the Aquatic Environment

In 1996 NCASI initiated an update to the 1989 compendium of effects of pulp mill effluents in the aquatic environment. This update was intended to describe progress and findings from ongoing studies conducted by some mills as well as to address new information with respect to effluents from mills that had undergone process changes. The update was also intended to identify the types and extent of the use of new bioassessment protocols.
