Technical Bulletin No. 0756: Technical and Economic Feasibility Assessment of Metals Reduction in Pulp and Paper Mill Wastewaters
On March 31, 1995, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published final Great Lakes Initiative (GLI) surface water quality criteria for aquatic life, human health, and wildlife. Facilities discharging to waterways that drain into the Great Lakes basin are required to meet permit limits based on these criteria. This study evaluates metals removal processes with potential to achieve metals limitations derived from the Great Lakes Initiative (GLI) surface water quality criteria.
