Technical Bulletin No. 0752: A Compendium of Stream and River Monitoring Methods

Representatives of a number of mills have had the occasion to conduct or to contract in-stream studies to document the health of the mills’ receiving water biota. The design and conduct of such studies involve a number of challenges, including the selection of monitoring parameters, sampling techniques and monitoring stations, and data interpretation. This document reviews traditional monitoring parameters in addition to new assessment tools.
