Technical Bulletin No. 0575: Laboratory and Field Examination of Several Portable and Personal Multiple-Gas Monitors for Use in the Forest Products Industry Workplace Environment

This report presents the results of a study to evaluate the performance of several personal and portable size multi-gas monitors. The multi-gas monitors evaluated are portable instruments designed to simultaneously monitor hydrogen sulfide, oxygen, combustible gasses, and in some cases carbon monoxide. This type of monitor is commonly used to test the atmosphere of confined spaces in the workplace prior to entry by mill personnel.
