Technical Bulletin No. 0564: Field Evaluations of Selected TWA and STEL Passive Diffusion Monitors for Measurement of Formaldehyde in the Workplace

Field evaluations of three TWA and three STEL formaldehyde passive diffusion monitor methods were performed in the area of a paper machine using a urea-formaldehyde treatment and at a particleboard manufacturing facility. The monitors tested included AirScan TWA and STEL Monitors, Chem Chip TWA and STEL Badges, and the Passive Bubbler. Acceptable accuracy and precision were obtained in some tests for each of the TWA monitors examined.
