Technical Bulletin No. 0558: Results of Field Measurements of Chloroform Formation and Release from Pulp Bleaching

Measurements of chloroform formation and release were conducted on 31 separate bleach lines or distinct conditions of bleach line operation at 17 bleach plants located throughout the U.S. Chloroform leaving the bleach plants via vents, sewers and pulp was measured to determine total releases.
