Technical Bulletin No. 0549: Assessment of Potential Health Risks to Pulp and Paper Mill Workers from Dermal Exposure to Dioxin in Bleached Pulp, Paper, and Pulp-Based Products

This technical bulletin was part of a series that dealt with estimating the risks associated with industry products that could contain trace levels of chlorinated dioxins or furans. Earlier bulletins dealt with (a) public contact with publication and personal care products, (b) worker exposure to paper dust and (c) public exposure to coffee made using bleached paper filters. The product related risk assessment activities are one part of the NCASI investigative program which also addresses environmental exposure and risk assessments along with studies of formation and treatability.
