Technical Bulletin No. 0546: Assessment of Risks Associated with Potential Exposure to Dioxin through the Consumption of Coffee Brewed using Bleached Paper Coffee Filters

This technical bulletin deals with estimating the risks associated with industry products that may contain trace levels of chlorinated dioxins or furans. Earlier bulletins dealt with (a) public contact with publication and personal care products and (b) worker exposure to paper dust. The product related risk assessment activities are one part of the NCASI investigative program which also addresses environmental exposure and risk assessments along with studies of formation and treatability.
