This technical bulletin, provides a technical summary of "Pine Growth Reductions in the Southeast" and found that the reported growth trends were consistent with documented changes in natural growth influencing factors. Whether air quality was influencing pine growth in the Southeast was an open question. Then there was no evidence that air quality is responsible for the growth trends reported by the Forest Service.
