Technical Bulletin No. 0503: Formaldehyde, Phenol, and Total Gaseous Non-Methane Organic Compound Emissions from Flakeboard and Oriented-Strand Board Press Vents

This technical bulletin reports on formaldehyde and phenol emissions in addition to TGNMO emissions from press vents. Formaldehyde and phenol were on a list of compounds either being regulated or considered for regulation by several states as part of their hazardous emission regulations. Others included chlorine, chlorine dioxide, and chloroform.
