Technical Bulletin No. 0484: Evaluation of the NCASI ASB Model Accuracy for Projecting Upgraded Process Performance

This bulletin provides a measure of the NCASI ASB model’s accuracy in the projection of upgraded process performance. The model was compared to (a) actual measured process performance and (b) process performance projected by several other available models. One mill was selected from each of 3 common ASB upgrade categories identified in Technical Bulletin No. 427 to examine the ASB model’s predictive capabilities under these forms of upgrade.
