Technical Bulletin No. 0474: Effects of Biologically Treated Bleached Kraft Mill Effluent on Cold Stream Productivity in Experimental Stream Channels – Fourth Progress Report

The material reported in this technical bulletin covers the study years 1983 to 1984. The investigative techniques used are similar to those used in the study involving bleached kraft effluent and the warm water fishery. They provide for introduction of a biologically treated bleached kraft effluent at a controlled rate to specially constructed experimental streams. The effect of the effluent on a representative aquatic community of food organisms and cold water fish under conditions very close to those existing in nature can then be studied.
