Technical Bulletin No. 0469: Collection and Burning of Kraft Non-Condensible Gases – Current Practices, Operating Experience, and Important Aspects of Design and Operation

This technical bulletin is an assembly of information obtained from the survey, the technical session, and literature review. It presents information on characteristics of various non-condensable gas streams, the design features of gas conditioning systems that enable stable operation and minimize the carryover of highly explosive materials to the gas transport system, the experience with various components of gas transport systems, and the design features and operating experience with various devices used for TRS combustion. A major emphasis of this technical bulletin is in the area of safe operation of these systems.
