Technical Bulletin No. 0468: Industry and State Programs Developing or Promoting Silvicultural Best Management Practices in the South

This technical bulletin is an assembly of seven presentations on forest industry programs developing or promoting silvicultural Best Management Practices (BMP's) in the South and a state program which promotes the use of BMP's. Because Southern states have chosen nonregulatory (voluntary) methods of implementing silvicultural BMP's, forest industry programs which either refine acceptable practices to protect or enhance water quality are an important element in overall program success.
