Technical Bulletin No. 0467: A Review of Uncertainty in the In-situ Measurement of Sediment Water Column Reactions

This technical bulletin first provides a refined estimate of in-situ SOD measurement precision as derived from what was then a comprehensive database previously made available to NCASI by EPA Region IV. The bulletin illustrates that SOD can be measured with in-situ devices more precisely than previously reported. The significance of this finding is presented in the context of a water quality model study in which the uncertainty in SOD measurement is propagated in the model DO output.
