Technical Bulletin No. 0437: Modifications to the Qual-2 Water Quality Model and User Manual

The mathematical model QUAL-2 had seen extensive use in water resource planning and waste load allocation studies. As a result of the extensive and increasing number of applications at the time, the code had been changed to reflect differing modeling assumptions, principally the algal-nutrient-light kinetics. Since these modifications were incorporated into several different versions of QUAL-2 in the public domain, a need existed to combine significant state-of-the-art advances into a single model code.
