Technical Bulletin No. 0436: 1983 Review of the Literature on Pulp and Paper Effluent Management

Each year the National Council staff prepares several literature reviews. The fourth of these for 1983 is attached, and deals with the literature on water quality protection and waste treatment problems and progress in the pulp and paper industry. It covers 53 literature references and is arranged so as to deal with the following subjects: biological treatment, physical-chemical treatment, internal process load control, sludge handling and disposal, and receiving waters.
