Technical Bulletin No. 0401: Forest Management Practices And Natural Events – Their Relation To Landslides And Water Quality Protection

For five years prior to this bulletin, the Southern and West Coast Regional Meetings featured one or more sessions covering research and field investigations on the impact of forestry management practices on receiving water quality and utility. This technical bulletin is an assembly of three presentations on forest management practices and their relationship to events such as landslides or mass wasting that may impact receiving water quality. A fourth deals with a description of tools currently available to forecast severe storm events and how such information may be useful in forestry management.
