Technical Bulletin No. 0314: A Review of Industry Experience with Selected Internal Process Solids Separation Devices

Several reasons exist for the increasing importance attached to more extensive water reuse in the paper machine area. Among these are (a) energy savings, (b) reduced purchase and processing cost, (c) reduced loss of fiber, filter and fines, and (d) reduced costs of effluent treatment. The latter becomes particularly significant when effluent discharges from incremental increases in production are to be accommodated in existing treatment facilities.
