Technical Bulletin No. 0272: Operator Certification Programs Applicable to Industrially Owned Wastewater Facilities

The subjects of effluent management system operator training and certification have attracted increasing attention recently from the National Council staff. The same is also true for analytical technicians for whose training and guidance the Council has prepared a series of audio-visual training aids that have gained widespread industry application. Both the growing stringency of effluent management regulations and the cost and complexity of the necessary control systems provide ample justification for such attention to operator training and competency.
