Technical Bulletin No. 0256: Oxidation Analysis of Mill Effluents

This technical bulletin represents a current summary of what is known concerning the relation between standard laboratory measurements of effluent oxygen demand, using either chemical or biochemical procedures, and data developed by instrumental methods based on chemical oxidation. These latter methods measure either carbon content by conversion of carbon to carbon dioxide, or oxygen use during sample oxidation by several measurement principles detailed in the report
