Technical Bulletin No. 0250: The Phenolic Substances in Pulp and Paper Mill Effluents: Their Structure, Behavior, and Determination
It has been known for some time that pulp and paper mill effluents do, on occasion, respond positively to various tests for phenolic materials. At the same time there has evolved in the water quality protection field a general view that there may be at least a potential for creation of taste and odor problems in waters receiving industrial effluents exhibiting such a positive response.
