Technical Bulletin No. 0242: The Mechanisms of Color Removal in the Treatment of Pulping and Bleaching Effluents with Lime

The attached Technical Bulletin constitutes a second report on the work completed during a two-year fundamental study of the reaction mechanisms whereby lime removes colored organic material from pulping and bleaching effluents. In this instance the work dealt with lime treatment of acidic chlorination stage bleaching effluents.
