Technical Bulletin No. 0241: An Investigation of Specific Ion Electrode Measurements in Pulp and Paper Mill Wastewaters

This technical bulletin reviews the history and theory of specific ion electrode measurements, and characteristics and response of electrode systems. It then summarizes evaluation studies conducted with sodium, calcium, chloride, and nitrate electrodes. Results obtained to date offer encouragement concerning field effluent and receiving water monitoring applications for such electrodes.
