Technical Bulletin No. 0233: A Guide to the Short-term Fish Bioassay of Mill Effluents

  The attached Technical Bulletin is based in great measure on National Council experience in the conduct of bioassays at the West Coast Regional Center, and in assisting member companies in the organization of such programs It provides details on the equipment, dilution water, bioassay organisms, and environmental control requirements for successful execution of bioassays. It also distinguishes between short and long-term bioassays and the program needs dictating the choice of each. Lastly, it describes the procedures used for mathematical expression of bioassay results.
