Technical Bulletin No. 0184: Comparative Studies on the Analysis for Dissolved Oxygen

The attached Technical Bulletin was originally issued in 1965 and constituted a final report on studies of electrode methods for measuring dissolved oxygen in mill treatment systems and receiving waters. The investigations concluded then that electrode measurements of dissolved oxygen in waters containing mill effluents were more accurate than by the various modifications of the Winkler procedure in that iodine absorption interferences caused by lignin and other organic materials were avoided.
