Technical Bulletin No. 0114: Pulp and Paper Industry Progress in Atmospheric Pollution Control
The pulp and paper industry has made significant progress with respect to atmospheric pollution control over the past several years. This has been evidenced by the accelerated effort many mills have made in further reducing the atmospheric discharge of contaminants, and to the joint research and development program on the problem undertaken through the National Council for Stream Improvement. The industry, therefore, has not been caught unawares by the greatly intensified public interest in the subject, which was stimulated by the National Conference on Air Pollution called by the Surgeon General in November, 1958.
