Technical Bulletin No. 0106: Manual for the Study of Slime Infestations

The attached National Council Technical Bulletin was first distributed in 1958. It was prepared in accordance with an agreement reached at a meeting of outstanding investigators of the river slime problem, sponsored by the National Council, and held in Chicago on October 31, 1357. It was their conclusion at that time that because of the scattered nature of the literature on this subject, and the extensive work recently undertaken, it would be advisable to compile a manual of procedures for investigating slime infestations. This bulletin contains the then most up-to-date procedures employed by those active in such research and has since proved of use to technical personnel having to deal with the problem.
