Technical Bulletin No. 0089: A Guide to the Design, Maintenance and Operation of TRS Monitoring Systems (AQTB)

The bulletin deals extensively with quality control features of maintenance and operation of TRS monitoring systems. Routine calibration of detectors and definition of sample handling system quantitative sample gas transfer characteristics using available calibration gases is a suggested procedure. The bulletin is not intended to cover in detail the maintenance and trouble-shooting aspects of individual detectors which should be covered in the operation manuals for these instruments. The observed performance of TRS monitors under field conditions is the subject of a bulletin to be distributed early next year, however.
