Technical Bulletin No. 0084: Progress of the Pulp, Paper, and Paperboard Industries in Effluent Treatment and Control
The attached report prepared by staff members of the Rational Council and reprinted from TAPPI Bulletin dated June 1956, summarizes practice in effluent treatment in the pulp and paper industry throughout the country. It is illustrated with pictures of typical installations of the various treatment, recovery, and by-product systems employed by the pulp and paper industry for reducing stream pollution. Most of the pulp and paper mills in this country have provided waste handling treatment facilities of various types. This indicates the progress that the pulp and paper industry is making in stream pollution abatement.
