Technical Bulletin No. 0042: Combined Treatment of Sanitary Sewage and Semi-Chemical Pulp Mill Waste

At the request of public agencies interested in the possibilities for treating semi-chemical mill waste together with municipal sewage at several locations, the research herein reported was undertaken by the Council's project at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Engineers of these agencies participated in planning the studies and have followed them closely. This investigation has yielded the basic facts which can be applied to individual problems and now, with the aid of the data obtained, the feasibility of combined treatment in any specific case can be determined.
