  Herewith for your information is a report dealing with the biological treatment of waste sulfite liquor by aerobic methods. The purpose of the study summarized in his report was to determine the maximum B.O.D. reductions that could be obtained by aeration of waste sulfite liquor through aeration for periods of short duration. Advanced methods for aerobic biological treatment of organic wastes have indicated promise in that better and less expensive methods are involved. It was to demonstrate the applicability of these methods to waste sulfite liquor that these studies were undertaken.
