Substance-Specific Information

NCASI reviewed the list of 193 high priority substances in the list from Environment Canada , to identify those that may be in use and/or inadvertently manufactured by either the pulp and paper or wood products sector. Environment Canada undertook a concurrent review of this list, and the combined list of substances has been used to undertake a substance-specific review of the “Challenge to Industry” high priority substances. NCASI’s review identified 43 potentially relevant substances. Of these, nine warrant detailed discussion.
