Special Report No. 97-04: Progress in Reducing TCDD/TCDF Content of Effluents, Pulps, and Wastewater Treatment Sludges from the Manufacturing of Bleached Chemical Pulp: 1996 NCASI Dioxin Profile

This report summarizes the data received in response to NCASI’s 1996 “Industry-Wide Dioxin Profile.” The original study which quantified releases from pulp bleaching was the “104 Mill Study,” a joint effort between NCASI and EPA carried out in 1988. The current survey was the sixth effort to update industry accomplishments since the “104 Mill Study.”
