Special Report No. 93-06: Annotated Bibliography on Biological and Chemical Testing of River and Marine Sediments

NCASI has a research program directed at evaluating bioassay procedures currently being used or proposed for use by regulatory agencies in establishing sediment quality criteria for receiving waters. An initial step in this effort involved a review of the literature to determine the marine and freshwater bioassays which are most frequently used in sediment studies. When extended to related topics including sediment sampling, chemistry, and benthic survey work this literature survey encompassed over 200 references summarized in this report.
