Special Report No. 93-04: Review of NCASI Forestry-Wildlife Research Activities in the Pacific Northwest

This special report describes summaries of forestry-wildlife studies undertaken by the National Council in concert with academic institutions and Federal agencies in the Pacific Northwest. Although the Wildlife Program covers a broad range of topics associated with protecting forest wildlife, the papers presented herein emphasize Northern Spotted Owls and Rocky Mountain Elk. Papers include topics such as predicting future populations of Northern Spotted Owls using mathematical models that include the amounts and geographic arrangement of suitable habitat.
