Special Report No. 90-09: An Investigation of the Stability of H2S in Air Cylinder Gases

This report presents results of a study to evaluate the reported stability of hydrogen sulfide in air mixtures in specially treated cylinders prepared by Scott Specialty Gas. Two high pressure cylinders containing hydrogen sulfide in air at nominal 24 and 9 ppm concentrations were analyzed over the course of one year. One low pressure cylinder containing hydrogen sulfide in air at a nominal 24 ppm was analyzed over the course of 122 days.
