Special Report No. 87-06: A Procedure for the Estimation of Ultimate Oxygen Demand

This report contains step-by-step instructions for conducting long-term or ultimate BOD tests. The procedure is applicable to both effluents and river waters, and was designed to provide flexibility for individual laboratory situations. The procedure was developed as a result of continued industry needs related to water quality models used for waste load allocation.
