Special Report No. 85-01: Information on Quality Assurance in TRS Continuous Emission Monitoring
Continuous monitoring of gaseous emissions from industrial sources has been practiced for many years. Historically, the data obtained from these sources with continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS) have been used for assessing source emissions and performance capabilities of various technologies in order to develop emission control strategies and for setting emission standards. However, during the last few years the scope of the use of CEMS generated data has been expanded to using continuous monitoring data as an indicator and, in some cases, method of demonstrating compliance with emission limits on a continuous basis.
