Special Report No. 80-01: A Study of the Adequacy and Timeliness of Response of State Agencies to Reports of Human and Plant Exposure to Silvicultural Chemicals

The use of silvicultural chemicals is a highly desirable element of a viable forestry management program. Their use has been questioned and placed in jeopardy in part by reported incidents of plant or animal exposure as a result of their alleged misuse during or after aerial application. The extent to which reported incidents of alleged exposure are verified in a timely and scientific manner is therefore of importance to companies in the forest products industry practicing industrial forestry.
