Special Report No. 03-07: A Survey of Pulp and Paper Industry Environmental Protection Expenditures – 2002

Based on a survey of the industry, capital expenditures for environmental protection at U.S. pulp and paper mills in 2002 were estimated to be $363 million, with 56% of the total being for air quality protection, 35% for water quality protection, and 9% for solid waste management.
